A sweet antique Victorian heart locket with the word “Mizpah” displayed across the centre. It’s fashioned in 9ct gold back and front and has developed a lovely rosy patina with age. 

“Mizpah” is a Hebrew word meaning “Watchtower” and became a popular motif during the Victorian era, given as a token of faithfulness. It’s overlaid on top of an engraved passage from the Old Testament which reads: “The lord watch between me & thee, when we are absent one from another”. 

It’s highly collectable and the perfect gift for a loved one, with two sections within to store photographs or mementos.
